Environmental Quality

Human development is causing serious climatic issues due to Environmental Pollution. Environmental Pollution  is not just dangerous for the climate but for our health as well. The ozone layer is depleting, global temperatures are rising and glaciers are melting. There are many factors behind it, but the biggest of them is increasing pollution. In this article, we’ll discuss different types of pollution and their impacts on our planet.

Climate Change

The climate of the world is changing rapidly. The main reason behind this is the increasing Environmental Pollution . The use of vehicles is increasing, the development is causing deforestation and industries are polluting waters and the atmosphere. These factors are resulting in forest fires, floods, and many other extreme climatic conditions.

Types of Pollution

Almost every place is getting affected by pollution .Some of the places Environmental Pollution is affecting are our lands, atmosphere, rivers, oceans, etc. Keeping these damages in mind, pollution can be divided into three different categories. These categories are air pollution, land pollution, and water pollution. Different types of pollution can be caused by different factors and they can impact differently as well.

Causes and Effects of Air Pollution

There are several causes of air pollution. Air pollution spreads by the release of poisonous gases into the environment. Large factories and industries are responsible for the release of different poisonous gases into the air. Moreover, the release of carbon dioxide due to the burning of fuel can cause acid rain and depletion of the ozone layer. Air pollution can cause health issues related to the lungs and breathing.

Causes and Effects of Water Pollution

Factories and industries are releasing dangerous chemicals into the rivers and streams which is a threat to many lives. Releasing sewerage water into the oceans is also a factor behind increasing water pollution. Water pollution is creating serious health issues for freshwater and marine life.

Causes and Effects of Land Pollution

One of the biggest pollutions over land is trash. Throwing trash in improper places can cause health issues. Over-expansion of cities makes management more difficult.Deforestation is one of the major reasons behind rising temperatures. The use of pesticides is also dangerous for the fertility of agricultural lands.

Health Issues due to Pollution

Pollution can cause many issues related to health. Air pollution can cause lung diseases which can affect breathing. Moreover, it can cause lung cancer, heart disease, and respiratory infections. Trash can cause serious diseases like cancer birth issues and viral infections. Drinking polluted water can cause diseases like hepatitis A, polio, typhoid, and much more.

How to Avoid Climate Change

We can play our role to improve the climate. We should avoid smoking, stay and keep our environment clean, travel in public transport, and reduce the number of vehicles or switch to electric vehicles. On an individual level, it might cause very little change. However, if we can collectively try to improve our climate, it can bring significant change. Moreover, governments around the world have to find a solution by sitting ata single table and making environment-friendly policies.
